Technical Note: Efficiency calculations follow Hydraulic Institute Standard ANSI/HI 1.3 (Achievable Efficiency). Specific Speed (Ns) is calculated per stage in US customary units: Ns = RPM × √Qgpm / Hft0.75. The efficiency penalty is interpolated from the HI Ns penalty curve for each pump type. For viscous fluids or pumps under 100 GPM, additional correction factors (Ch, Cq, Cη) may apply.
